Pesel & Carr is thrilled to announce its win at the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) 2013 Golden Target Awards in the Low Cost/Pro Bono category for its ‘Bringing Opera to the People’ campaign for Lyric Opera of Melbourne.
The Highly Commended award was announced at the PRIA Victoria Communications Gala on Friday night, where Pesel & Carr was recognised for its outstanding work in developing a strategy and engaging campaign for the contemporary, not-for-profit opera company.
Pesel & Carr is very proud to be rewarded for the great work our team has accomplished for Lyric Opera. We are passionate about assisting bold and creative organisations to achieve their business objectives and believe that success begins with great communication, every time.
Pesel & Carr has worked with Lyric Opera since 2011 at a board level and in support of individual productions. Creative campaigns have included flash mob-style stunts to strategic media relations with the aim of driving awareness of its unique opera productions.
Chairman of Lyric Opera of Melbourne, Councillor Claude Ullin JP said, “Pesel & Carr has played a pivotal role in assisting Lyric Opera of Melbourne to define its strategic mission and vision and grow its base of supporters, ranging from new opera-goers to media and the broader arts community. They are an invaluable part of our team and we congratulate them on their win.”
Pesel & Carr director Richard and account executive Alison also took home the awards for Best Dressed Male and Female.
The PRIA Awards were judged by a panel of leaders in the public relations profession and industry sector representatives.
